So excited that my short story The Madame and the Madman was chosen by Screencraft to move on to the finalist stage of their contest!

The Madame and the Madman is an Adam Frankenstein story that also featured Victor Dracula in a historical, Gothic setting.  The story is available in Adam Frankenstein: Search for a Soul which has won several awards.

Adam asks Victor Dracula to help him stop a brothel that uses children.  But asking anything of Dracula comes with a price and often…regret.

Thousands of people entered the writing competition and I feel so humbled and grateful that mine was chosen to move forward!

Fear Fest was released last year and did very well so I am super excited to share the release of the follow-up to Fear Fest – Demon’s Gate!

Adam Frankenstein and his partner Rebecca shut down the gate with the help of Eli Van Helsing, Bram Stoker, and Victor Dracula. Not everyone they fought with or for lived. But, the gate was closed. The key was destroyed. Or was it? The final page of Fear Fest had our heroes discussing how the battle had been won, but if you look very close at the back of Rebecca’s neck you see the key was somehow transferred to her.

Now, our heroes are back and this time the villain Trillion wants that key no matter what it takes or who he has to kill.

I am still working on the comic script and hope to see Demon’s Gate finished by the end of February.

I was contacted by Literary Titan and told they had given my book Adam Frankenstein: Search for a Soul a 5-star review a few weeks ago. I read the review and was over moon with the review, which you can read HERE.

I was thrilled to find out recently that my 5-star review had entered me into their book award contest and that my book had won the gold! Since my Adam Frankenstein: Dog Fight comic book won the Reader’s Favorite award the same day I was more than shocked.

The book is a short story collection that tells the tale of how Adam learns lessons of humanity.

I love Adam. I think we can relate to someone so completely alone and friendless who tries to better himself despite the fact it likely won’t win him any friends. He does it for himself.

I hope you’ll give Adam a try regardless of whether you want to read short stories or comic books. I hope to release a full-length novel next year!

I’m thrilled that my first comic book, Adam Frankenstein: Dog Fight has done so well! I credit so much of its success to my illustrator Evan Scale who I think is brilliant!

The comic book was a #1 New Release on Amazon the day it debuted and has been a reader favorite at signings. Now, not only did Reader’s Favorite give it an incredible 5-star review, it went on to win the book award in the Graphic Novel/Comic genre category! Of the thousands who submitted all over the world, my comic was one of the four that won! I’m so proud of this work.

I’ve been very fortunate in that my Adam books have all done well. My first book of Adam Frankenstein short stories won Suspense Magazine’s Best of 2016 in the horror category and it was chosen by Screencraft as a finalist in their Short Story contest.

The second book of Adam short stories – Adam Frankenstein: Search for a Soul just won the Gold Book Award from Literary Titan, which I’m also very excited about.

I am so grateful to everyone who gave Adam a try and especially to those who shared their excitement about his stories and left reviews!

I’m about to start writing my third comic book titled Demon Gate. It’s related to my current release called Fear Fest. I’m excited to have comic books available and am working to create a cohesive world for my character Adam Frankenstein.

I taught myself how to write a comic book. I took a weekend workshop, read a bunch of how-to books, and read comics that I thought were great stories. I think Dan Wickline is amazing. Anything by Jonathan Maybery, too.

What took the longest was finding the right illustrator. When I finally found Evan Scale.

Evan has such talent and creativity! He made my ideas even better. I am so lucky to have found him.

Once I had an illustrator I had to deal with the boring stuff like contracts, trademarks, and attornies.

Then there was the formatting, which is a pain to get done and the distribution.

It was wildly fun too and exciting to be at writer events signing and to sell out of all my comic books!

I like the idea of having comic books, short stories and eventually releasing a novel. Wish me luck!
